Last updated: May 2026

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using this website.

These Terms and Conditions set out the terms on which you may use our website:

www.horizonplymouth.co.uk

By using this website, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions, you should stop using this website immediately.

1. Information about us

This website is owned and operated by Horizon Connect.

Website: www.horizonplymouth.co.uk
Business name: Horizon Connect
Address: 25 The Crescent, Plymouth, PL1 3AD
Email: info@horizonplymouth.co.uk
Telephone: 0800 654 6959

Horizon Connect provides information about counselling, therapy, wellbeing support, training, digital resources, events, referral pathways and related services.

We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office where required for data protection purposes.

Professional membership, accreditation or registration details may apply to individual therapists, counsellors, practitioners or trainers connected with Horizon Connect. Where relevant, these details may be provided on individual profiles, service pages, professional documents or service agreements.

2. About these Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of this website.

They should be read alongside our:

  • Privacy Policy;

  • Cookie Policy;

  • Website Disclaimer;

  • any service-specific terms, consent forms, contracts or agreements provided before using paid or professional services.

These website Terms and Conditions do not replace any separate agreement you may enter into with Horizon Connect, an independent therapist, counsellor, practitioner, trainer, event provider or third-party provider.

If there is a conflict between these website Terms and Conditions and a specific service agreement, the specific service agreement will usually take priority in relation to that service.

3. Access to our website

Access to this website is provided free of charge.

We aim to keep the website available and working properly. However, we do not guarantee that the website, or any content on it, will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or free from errors.

We may suspend, withdraw, update, restrict or discontinue all or part of the website at any time without notice.

You are responsible for making the arrangements necessary to access this website, including having suitable internet access, software, security protection and devices.

4. General information only

The content on this website is provided for general information, educational and wellbeing purposes only.

Nothing on this website should be treated as medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, crisis support, legal advice, financial advice or any other form of specialist advice outside the specific service being offered.

You should seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional before acting on information from this website, particularly in relation to medical, mental health, medication, legal, safeguarding or risk-related matters.

More detailed information is provided in our Website Disclaimer.

5. Therapy, counselling, hypnotherapy and wellbeing services

Horizon Connect may provide information about counselling, therapy, hypnotherapy, wellbeing support, training, programmes, digital resources and related services.

Therapy, counselling, hypnotherapy and wellbeing services may not be suitable for everyone. Outcomes vary from person to person, and no specific result, improvement or outcome is guaranteed.

Where you enquire about therapy or support, we may use the information you provide to help identify suitable options, services, therapists or practitioners.

Where you are referred or introduced to an independent therapist, counsellor or practitioner, that person may operate separately from Horizon Connect and may have their own terms, privacy information, professional obligations, clinical responsibilities and record-keeping arrangements.

Horizon Connect cannot guarantee that a particular therapist, practitioner, service, approach or appointment time will be available or suitable.

6. Crisis and emergency support

Horizon Connect is not an emergency or crisis service.

If you feel at immediate risk of harming yourself or someone else, or you are in immediate danger, call 999 or go to your nearest A&E department.

For urgent mental health support, you can contact:

NHS 111 — call 111 and select the mental health option, where available.
Samaritans — call 116 123, available 24 hours a day.
Your GP — for non-emergency medical and mental health support.

Emails, website forms and messages sent through this website are not monitored continuously and should not be used for urgent or emergency support.

You may view, access and use the website for your own personal, non-commercial use.

You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, rent, licence, publish, upload, transmit, commercially exploit or reuse any website content without our prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

You may print or download extracts of website pages for your own personal use, provided that:

  • you do not modify the content;

You must not share, resell, copy, reproduce, distribute, upload, teach from, adapt or commercially exploit these materials without written permission from Horizon Connect.

Where you purchase digital content, specific purchase terms, refund terms and cancellation information may apply at the point of sale.

9. Paid services, events, programmes, memberships and training

Where you book or purchase a paid service, appointment, event, programme, training session, membership, course or product through this website, additional terms may apply.

For online or distance sales, businesses must give customers certain information before the order is placed, including information about the business, price, payment, delivery or performance arrangements, cancellation rights and contract duration where relevant. (GOV.UK)

Where required, this information should be provided clearly before purchase or booking.

10. Cancellations, refunds and consumer rights

If you purchase goods, digital content, services, events, training, memberships or programmes from Horizon Connect, you may have consumer rights under UK law.

These rights may include rights relating to:

  • clear pre-contract information;

  • cancellation rights for some distance contracts;

  • digital content being as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality;

  • services being carried out with reasonable care and skill;

  • refunds or remedies where something is not provided as agreed.

The exact cancellation and refund terms may depend on what you purchase, how it is supplied, whether the service has already started, whether digital content has already been accessed or downloaded, and whether any statutory exceptions apply.

Where a consumer has a right to cancel an online or distance contract, the cancellation period is commonly 14 days, but the rules differ depending on whether the purchase is goods, services or digital content. (GOV.UK)

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions removes or limits your statutory consumer rights.
